What happened

I pre-booked the iQOO Neo 9 Pro from Amazon, but the unit delivered was defective right out of the box, forcing Amazon to send a replacement device. I had no idea this was just the beginning of an absolute nightmare.
In February 2026, I was forced to visit the service center for the first time because, despite maintaining the phone flawlessly, the battery health abnormally crashed down to a shocking 74% and the battery backup became practically non-existent. When the technicians ran a diagnostic check, the official log revealed an even bigger structural hardware failure: "Kernel Restart Fail 2 Times".
Instead of addressing this core failure, the service center staff tried to scam me by claiming the device was "Out of Warranty," completely ignoring my extended pre-booking benefits. After a heated argument, they insisted that simply replacing the battery would permanently fix the entire issue, and executed a Free of Cost (FOC) battery replacement as a temporary band-aid.
Within just a few months, their claim fell apart and the core issue came back even worse. The phone started freezing mid-call, isolating me completely, and kept crashing straight to the lock screen automatically. In June 2026, I had to travel to the Jammu service center again, which is a punishing 180 KM away from my hometown in Thanamandi, Rajouri. Shockingly, their automated software tool tried to manipulate the status to show a "Pass," but the physical phone froze solid right in front of the State Manager. Left with no choice, they finally replaced the motherboard.
But here is the absolute joke—exactly 9 days after getting the motherboard replaced, the phone spiraled right back into extreme lag and permanent screen freezing. This proves that the entire product lineup suffers from an incurable manufacturing defect. To make matters worse, they even sent me a manipulated, future-dated official email to cover up their internal delays.
It has been over 15 to 20 long days now since my device completely failed for the third time, and despite running around and explaining everything, the brand has provided absolutely zero help or resolution. I even posted the whole issue publicly on Twitter (X) to grab their attention, but they have completely ignored that as well—still no response or acknowledgement. They are just sitting completely silent, ignoring my plight. I am a student, and traveling this 180 KM mountain terrain repeatedly has drained my money, completely destroyed my postgraduate academic preparation, and caused immense mental harassment. This is a scam in the name of a premium flagship experience. I want nothing less than a full financial refund.
