Immediate financial compensation for the broken suitcase on flight AI 158. Implement a transparent, on-the-spot claim settlement process at the arrival terminal for heavily damaged baggage, rather than making passengers chase customer care.
My daughter flew back from Copenhagen to India this morning on Air India flight AI 158. She checked in her luggage in perfect condition. However, upon arrival, she found her suitcase completely broken on the baggage carousel due to extremely callous handling by the airline's ground staff. Instead of a smooth arrival after a long international flight, she is now left with a destroyed bag and no clear answers on compensation. Passengers pay high fares trusting airlines to transport their belongings safely. When ground staff break luggage, the airline rarely takes proactive responsibility, forcing the customer into a long, frustrating process just to get what is owed to them.
