Uber: Take immediate action against driver for theft and extortion of ₹19,411 delivery

My staff booked an Uber for a material delivery with a total invoice value of ₹19,411. Instead of completing the trip, the driver marked the booking as "failed" and absconded with the package. He later contacted my staff on WhatsApp, admitting he sold the material to someone else for ₹2,000, and demanded that we pay him that exact amount as ransom to get our material back. Despite raising the issue with Uber support, they have completely failed to track their driver or provide a resolution. This incident highlights a severe lack of driver accountability, background verification, and safety protocols for Uber's delivery services.
