Apple's iPhone 18 Pro (out 18 September 2026) and Google's Pixel 11 Pro (out 20 August 2026) are the two most-compared phones of the year. Both have a 6.3-inch screen and three rear cameras, and both lean heavily on AI. With festive sales starting this week, here's how they stack up.

- Chip: iPhone has Apple's A20 Pro (2 nm) with a vapour chamber for sustained performance. Pixel has Google's Tensor G6 with the Titan M3 security chip.
- Screen: both 6.3-inch, 120 Hz OLED. The Pixel is brighter on paper (3,600 nits peak vs 3,000).
- Cameras: iPhone has three 48 MP cameras with a 4x telephoto and pro video tools (ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, 4K at 120 fps). Pixel has a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP 5x telephoto, a 42 MP selfie camera and Google's computational photography, plus 8K video.
- Battery and charging: Pixel has the bigger battery (4,850 mAh) and is rated for 30+ hours. iPhone charges faster: about 50% in 15 minutes with a 60 W+ adapter, vs 55% in 30 minutes for the Pixel.
- Software: Pixel promises seven years of Android and security updates. Apple doesn't publish a fixed number of years, but has a long record of supporting older iPhones.
- AI: Pixel ships with Gemini built in and six months of Google AI Pro. Apple's new AI Siri is arriving as a beta with iOS 27, starting in English and in limited regions.
- Storage: iPhone goes up to 2 TB; Pixel up to 1 TB.
