What you can do
- Read the bond clause in your offer or appointment letter: the amount, the period and what it covers.
- Ask HR in writing how the recovery was calculated, and don't pay anything you haven't agreed to in writing.
- Bond and notice-period recoveries are contractual. A labour lawyer can tell you whether yours is enforceable.
