What you can do
- Ask HR in writing for your relieving and experience letters, and attach your resignation acceptance and handover proof.
- Keep your resignation email, the acceptance and your last payslip. New employers often accept these while the letter is pending.
- If the letter is held back to force a payment, a lawyer's notice or a complaint to your state labour department can help.
